Bibliography

These are the resources I used to make this project possible.  All of these are summarized on the page they were used for.  I'm thankful for their help and give them recognition for giving me the information I needed to complete this.

Wikipedia is the "Free Encyclopedia" and is the most common online Encyclopedia used in the world.
Wikipedia states its sources and was somewhat useful in the history and population side of things.

http://www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/ - Charlotte Motor Speedway
This is the official website for the track.  It gave me plenty of useful information for the part of this page dealing with the economy in North Carolina.  It was incredibly helpful.

http://www.census.gov/ - United States Census Bureau
This site gave me the information for the population of North Carolina in 2000.  It was useful in that aspect.

http://www.theskyscrapers.org/meteors/index.php/year/2010 - The Skyscrapers, Inc.
All of my 2010 Meteor Shower information came from this website.  I was very pleased with their information.

http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse.html - NASA
The information I got from this website was only when eclipses happened and when they will take place.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constellation - Wikipedia
I looked to Wikipedia again for helping me learn about constellations.  What they are, how they work, and what types of constellations their are.

http://www.mcrocks.com/ - McRocks
When I couldn't find very good information for rocks and minerals, I was able to find McRocks, which was very specfifc about when and where rocks were founded in western North Carolina.

http://www.geology.enr.state.nc.us/Mineral%20resources/mineralresources.html - ENR
This was the most helpful with finding the most common minerals in NC.

North Carolina Earth Science by Prentice Hall
The textbook gave me a lot of information about the things I needed to know for North Carolina.

North Carolina Enviornmental/Earth Science - Prentice Hall
The information on soil was great, though it didn't have too much for rocks and minerals.

http://environment.about.com/od/recycling/a/benefits_of_glass_recycling.htm - About.com
The entire article is from here.  Thanks to Larry West, he receives all credit for this articel.

http://www.learnnc.org/lp/editions/nchist-twoworlds/1671 - Learn NC
It had good information, just not exactly what I was looking for.  Wasn't very helpful.

Picutred above - North Carolina State University
This gave me information on how often tornadoes occured in North Carolina.  Most of these writings are things I have learned myself.  Also the thunderstrom information is a graph from NCSU.
